CIVITAVECCHIA TO ROME

The distance from the port of Civitavecchia to Rome City Center is approx. 85 kilometers (53 miles). The connection from Rome to Civitavecchia is good, there is a highway close to the port that arrives at the outskirts of Rome. It is possible to rent a car in Civitavecchia but we advise you not to, because of the chaotic traffic situation in Rome. Other methods to arrive in Rome is the local train which arrives at Rome central station (Termini). You then have to take another train to arrive to Fiumicino or Ciampino airport.
